Ever since I was a kid, I've been interested in anime and video games; and in 2011, I was introduced to the world of conventions and cosplay. Almost 12 years later, I've handmade over 50 costumes, traveled to different states for events, and met hundreds of other creators, designers, and artists. Furthermore, I've gained a wide range of skills while working on my creations and have started putting together a mini workshop of 3D printers and other tools.

Below are some of the highlights of my cosplaying career so far, and if you'd like to see more, please visit my Main Instagram!

Celestia Ludenberg - DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Video Game)

Anime Los Angeles 2020 Revamp

Celestia Ludenberg is a character from a Japanese RPG called "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc." This game has held a special place in my heart for years and I spent a lot of time cosplaying many of the characters from the game in the past.

The wig took me 26 hours to make from chicken wire, tape, spray paint, tacky glue, and deconstructed cheap wigs. The curls are attached to the headband, which I need to replace after last wearing it.

The outfit was made from a thrifted coat and shirt, and a handmade skirt and accessories.

Blackwatch Moira - Overwatch

Blizzcon 2018

When I found out the amazing news that I could attend Blizzcon 2018, I immediately started wondering what I could make to both impress the crowd and myself. Blackwatch Moira has been a dream costume of mine to make since it came out, and I knew it would be a challenge, so I stepped up to the plate and took it. This is the second project I've done that includes armor (made from EVA foam), and I took artistic liberties on some of the pieces to make them suit my body better and be easier to travel with. An example of this is the backpack-- by using an actual backpack, I could carry my belongings without having to carry an extra purse, and it could have all of the accessories on it still!

Blackwatch Moira was made in one month. Everything was patterned, altered, and/or fabricated by me. Makeup and wig also done by me! Above shows my process photos. All 3D printed pieces (the shoulder armor and the front chest pieces) were CAD modeled and printed by me.

Los Muertos Sombra - Overwatch

Game On Expo 2017, Fiesta Bowl Overwatch Collegiate Finals 2018

Los Muertos Sombra is a cosmetic skin of Sombra from Blizzard's Overwatch. Once I learned that the voice actress of Sombra, Carolina Ravassa, was going to be at a local convention, I wanted to meet my favorite character dressed as my favorite character. One thing that people do not assume about me is that I'm Latina so I wanted to bring my Latina side to my costuming and decided to make my favorite skin in Overwatch to meet Carolina!

The second time I wore this costume was to the Fiesta Bowl Overwatch Collegiate Finals, hosted at Arizona State University, as a guest cosplayer for the event. This event was super fun and I met a lot of fans and college esports players that were all very kind and made that day special for me!

This costume was interesting for me because while I wanted to experiment with some really cool fabrics, they did not want to cooperate with me, which made me have to think of new ways to create a costume with new mediums. I also had to think of an innovative way to avoid using bodypaint every time I wanted to wear this costume, so I had a friend help me paint a full dance suit to wear under the costume, which was made in two weeks.

Using a bald cap was also new for me-- while I wore it the first time I wore this costume, I decided not to the second time because it spend a lot of time to put on and I thought my blue hair would look cool as an undercut effect.

Muffet - Undertale

Phoenix Comicon 2015, WonderCon 2016

Muffet is a character from Toby Fox's game Undertale, and was originally designed by the creator of Ava's Demon, a webcomic written and drawn by Michelle Czajkowski. Ever since I saw the character, I have always been intrigued by the design, even though she is shown as a sprite in the game.

I first made this costume in November of 2015, but immediately wanted to fix some details I wasn't happy with, including the arms, extra eyes, and bodysuit. This costume is still one of my favorite pieces of work due to how creepy-cute it is and how intense the makeup is. Although I no longer have the contacts, as they have expired, I would wear this costume again without any further altering due to how it has held up through the years and because of how nice the fans of this video game are.

Kalista - League of Legends

Phoenix Comicon 2016

Kalista is a character from the popular video game League of Legends, by Riot Games. After dreaming about making a costume with armor for years, I decided that Kalista would be my first armored costume and set out to gather materials and get help with patterning from friends... I mean, it's kind of hard to reach all of your back by yourself, and my friends have my back! However, the process of making armor is not that difficult, just a weird learning curve, and I'm extremely happy with the results of my first build!

I wish I had more photos of this costume, I actually only got 2 photos back from my friend so I want to put this costume back on and get more! It has held up really well since making and just needs a few repairs before putting back on, which will hopefully happen soon.
